WELCOME
This is the official website for BETHEL RURAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION, Inc. Bethel is a rural community in Haywood County, NC. It is the oldest community in the County, dating before the County’s establishment in 1808. Bethel is south of Canton on highway 215 and 110 and east of Waynesville on highway 276. We strive to preserve the rural and historic nature of the community. We raise funds with an annual Cold Mountain Heritage Tour, a Half Marathon and 5K Race, and with donations from our sponsors. These funds help support our farmland and historic preservation efforts, Bethel school activities, MANNA food distribution, benevolence to needy families, fire department, and other worthy causes.
MISSION STATEMENT
"The mission of the Bethel Rural Community Organization
is to locate, coordinate and lead local and regional resources to perform programs
