Subject: March 11 Membership Meeting
We have a lot of interesting subjects to cover since the January meeting. You may think it will be a long meeting, but we plan to hit the highlights and move along quickly.
Mike McDonald will update us on the website construction. Check it out so you can ask questions www.bethelcomm.org. We hope for a clean audit report from Skipper Russell and the Audit Committee.
A Drought Plan bill is being proposed, including Well Water Monitoring. We will have a brief, spirited discussion. Steve Sorrells, on the HRMC governing board, will explain the latest on the HRMC recovery plan. Graham Fields, Sen. Elizabeth Dole’s western rep, visited Haywood County recently. Skipper Russell will have a report on that visit. James Duncan will report on the progress from two meetings to form a Crime Watch group on Max Thompson Road in Bethel.
I have some info to share on Scholarship Applications, Gleaning the Fields, Litter Sweep, and SAGE Advice. Check our website calendar page for upcoming meetings before you come.
After we adjourn, I would like the Race Committee to meet long enough to set the fee for this special Bicentennial event.
Bring a neighbor. More Bethel residents should participate and help steer our activities. Hope to see you Tuesday, 7pm at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
